Yes, we teach Kindergarten! Our curriculum prepares a child for success in grade 1. We cover all the Ontario curriculum expectations and learning skills. Our teaching team includes both Montessori and ECE teachers, and some staff also have experience teaching in public elementary settings too. The Ministry of Education inspects us annually, giving you the assurance that your child is not lacking anything in their educational experience.

Sometimes, parents have a misconception that Montessori schools lack the social interaction that public Kindergarten can provide because we say that children are ‘building independence.’ At ACMS, children have plenty of time for small- and large-group interactions. We believe it is essential that children learn how to make strong, lasting friendships. Children also have ample time for rest, exercise, and inquiry-based play. We love giving our children opportunities to express their creativity, engage in problem solving, and share their joy. Throughout our daily routine, children are learning foundational social skills and emotional regulation skills that are necessary for their holistic well-being.
